A man suffered chest injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on the A10 near Stretham yesterday (December 14).
Magpas Air Ambulance paramedics were called to the scene of the crash near Little Thetford between Wilburton Road and Angel Drove at 4.30pm.
Medical teams assessed the man, who is in his 70s, and performed roadside surgery before he was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
The man is in a serious but stable condition. The road was closed into the night but re-opened this morning (15).
A Magpas Air Ambulance spokesperson said: “This incident highlights how we can bring vital hospital level care to seriously ill patients when time is of the essence, 24/7 in the East of England and beyond.”
