SMITH John of Ely, member of the Fire Brigade for 27 years, the last 10 as Station Officer in Ely, passed away peacefully at Heron Court, March on Tuesday 28th January 2014, aged 85 years. Loving husband of Pauline, much loved father of Peter, Andrew and Roger and a dear grandad to Darren, Sebastian, Theo, Ben and Jessica, Matt and Dan. Remembered by his family and friends. Funeral Service at Fenland Crematorium, March on Wednesday 12th February 2014 at 10.30am. Family flowers only but donations, if desired, for The Fire Fighters Chairty may be left at the Service or sent to Ely Funeral Service, 4 Tower Road, Ely, Cambs, CB7 4HW.
