Disruptions to the train services across Cambridgeshire are expected to last until mid-morning, according to a train operator.

Greater Anglia were experiencing early morning issues today (Friday) with services in and out of Norwich station because of a fault with a signalling system.

Passengers using Ely, Cambridge and Peterborough stations were among those affected.

The train operator says the issue was reported at 5:30am and Network Rail engineers fixed the problem at 6:55am, within 10 minutes of arriving at the fault.

Disruptions are still expected until 10am.

“We apologise for the inconvenience caused,” a spokesperson said.

He added passengers delayed by 15 minutes or more can claim for delay repay at www.greateranglia.co.uk/delayrepay
