The cause of a car fire in Ely last night (Thursday, December 21) has been confirmed.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Wearing breathing apparatus firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the car fire before returning to their station by 7.30pm.
“The cause of the fire was accidental.”
