The Rotary Club of Ely has welcomed its newest member.

Kate Devine was inducted on Thursday November 2.

Ely born and bred, and having lived in the city all her life, she recently retired from a career in residential letting and property management.

She is known locally for her years working for the Ely branches of Woolwich Building Society on Forehill, and as office manager for the old Alliance & Leicester Building Society in the High Street.

She was also treasurer for the Ely branch of Victim Support, based at the bottom of Forehill for a few years. 

In her spare time, she loves gardening, her greenhouse, going to the theatre and travel.
