An air ambulance descended on a park in Ely this morning (Tuesday, October 17).
A reader who lives nearby told the Ely Standard that the crew landed in St John’s Park on St John’s Road.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: "We were called at 8.51am this morning (Tuesday) with reports of a collision in Hereward Street, Ely, involving a pedestrian and a taxi.
"Both land and air ambulances attended.
"Looks like the pedestrian suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for treatment."
We have approached the air ambulance press office for comment.
